Changes to the NHS
The Primary Care Trust is set to go in 2013. Commissioning of health services will be undertaken by large groups of GP Practices working together in 'consortia'. Public Health – education and promotion – will go to local Councils. A number of other reforms are planned in the governments Health and Social Care Bill and this is your opportunity to find out more.
New management for Community Hospitals and Health Services
A Social Enterprise Company has been proposed to provide all Community Health Services including local Hospitals, District Nursing, Health Visiting, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and more. These services are currently provided by the Primary Care Trust through the Community Health Services Trust. New arrangements must be in place by April this year. Here (at last) is your chance to put your questions and find out more.
